Notes

This is reported to be Elmsdale's first publication.

Budge was a hybrid publication: it combined a text story running parallel with a comic strip adventure. The text story ran to six chapters in the thirty-six page book, while the comic strip story took up four panels on each page. Both storylines included the other members of the radio play's gang: Dolly, Tubby and Snick. Budge also included an appeal to its readers to re-cycle resources to aid the war effort. The one-shot's comic strip was drawn by George Needham. (From Sunbeams to Sunset).
