Notes
D.C.M.T. (Die Casting Machine Tools) Ltd. was founded in 1939 by Aubrey Robert (Bob) Mills who designed and built his first die casting machine. He was later joined by partner Sidney James Ambridge. The company is known for its metal toys, initially called Slikka Playthings or Slikka Toys. As demand for western and cowboy products grew in the late 1940s, the company expanded production of die-cast metal pistols and rifles and rebranded itself as "Lone Star". The company engaged actor Roy Green to play Steve Larrabee as the face of Lone Star. It also briefly produced Lone Star Magazine around 1952 to 1956, before authorising publication to Atlas Publishing and Distributing Co. Ltd.
