Notes
Lush Studios was operated by Arthur Lyall Lush (1907-1991) in Adelaide in the 1930s and 1940s, publishing children's books and Christian children's comics. The Advertiser Tuesday 20 May 1947 reports the dissolution on 15 May 1947 of the partnership for Lush Studios between "Arthur Lyall Lush of Bruce Street Frewville Commercial Artist and Victor Gardiner Burrow of 64 Canterbury Avenue Trinity Gardens Accountant". Lush continued to operate the business. He moved to Seattle, Washington, in the late 1940s with is wife Jean and was a Christian minister, author, painter and illustrator. Interestingly, Lush was fined in 1945 for not having a current listeners' licence for his wireless set and fined £2, with 10/- costs (The Advertser, 25/4/1945).
