Ibis is an imprint within Rupert Murdoch's News Ltd group. Its newspaper strip reprint comics are from News Ltd papers, such as the Australian and the Mirror. According to ASIC data, the company was registered 28/09/1960 and deregistered 11/09/1985. In 1960, Murdoch acquired Cumberland Newspapers Pty Ltd, a chain of 24 suburban newspapers in Sydney.
